Accessing Moodle outside of the my.monash portal

Last October, a system change was made to the Moodle authentication process that allowed all students, lecturers and faculty administrators to log into Moodle independently from the my.monash portal.

This means that to access Moodle, you can go directly via either of the following urls:

• moodle.vle.monash.edu
• monash.edu/moodle

This week, there was a my.monash outage but access to Moodle was not affected. However, some users may have been unable to access Moodle as they were trying to login via the Moodle link from the my.monash portal.

We will also be adding a message on the student and staff teaching pages in the portal about the direct link:

https://my.monash.edu.au/study/ (Student portal)
