School of Clinical Sciences Awards for Teaching Excellence

The School of Clinical Sciences value the contributions made by staff towards the teaching and learning of our students. This newly created award recognises teaching excellence and is open to professional, academic, adjunct and teaching associate staff who are involved in the teaching and learning of students within the School of Clinical Sciences.

ECR Mentorship Program - helping early career researchers achieve success

In 2013, the School of Clinical Sciences established the Early Career Researcher Mentorship Program to provide a support framework for ECR's as they progress in their research and teaching careers. The program, which is currently taking applications for 2019-20, pairs mentees with senior academics, providing them with confidential advice and guidance with career planning.

The International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis Scientific Meeting (ISTH) scientific meeting is the largest and most prestigious meeting in the field of thrombosis and haemostasis. This year's event was held in Melbourne, with over 5000 delegates attending. Staff from Monash Haematology, in association with colleagues in pharmacy and radiology, presented a total of four oral communications and six posters.

Supporting workers with endometriosis in the workplace

Safe Work Australia has recently released information on supporting women in the workplace with endometriosis; a disease which affects 1 in 10 women, girls and other individuals of reproductive age. The information is part of the 2018 National Action Plan for Endometriosis, which is aimed at increasing awareness of the prevalance and impact of the disease.

SCS Staff Meeting - DATE CHANGE
