Centre for Inflammatory Diseases appoints new director

Congratulations to Professor Michael Hickey on his appointment as Director of the Monash University Centre for Inflammatory Diseases (CID). Michael will take over the role from Professor Richard Kitching, who over the last five years has done an outstanding job in raising the grant success and publication output of the CID under his dynamic leadership.

Monash Gets Moving for Asylum Seekers

Staff, students, and alumni from Monash University are excited to be raising money in support asylum seekers through the 2019 Monash Run for Refugees on Sunday, July 28.

Well done to everyone who participated in round 2 of the 3MT competition held on Wednesday 5 June. We heard outstanding thesis pitches from over 20 competitors across both junior and senior categories.

Dr Simon Craig awarded $5 million in MRFF Million Minds Mission Grant

Congratulations to Dr Simon Craig who has received five million dollars in funding in the recent Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) Million Minds Mission grant opportunity, announced last week by the Minister for Health, the Hon. Greg Hunt MP.

Changes to car parking rates

Please be advised that the hourly car parking rate for the Browns Road staff car park will increase from 0.79 cents to 0.82 cents per hour, effective from Monday 1st July 2019. That means a full day rate (8 hours) is now $6.56 per day.
