Dr Connie Wong from Monash University’s Centre for Inflammatory Diseases has been awarded a highly prestigious AUD$1.25 million, five-year, CSL Centenary Fellowship to further her research into why so many people die from infection following stroke.

Final year Monash University medical student James Fahey has shed light on the possible cause of an uncommon but dangerous cardiovascular disease, spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD).

Award winning presentation at international conference

Dr Jun Yang, a Hudson Institute and SCS early-career researcher and Monash Health consultant endocrinologist, was awarded a Best Oral Presentation Prize at the 27th Scientific Meeting of the International Society of Hypertension (ISH) in Beijing, China.

Monash School of Medicine and SCS Quiet Achiever award


Congratulations Dr Arunaz Kumar who received a Monash School of Medicine Award in recognition of excellence and innovation in women's health teaching and interprofessional education.

And the SCS Quiet Achiever Award went to Liza Barbour from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics.
