The STEMpal program is looking for scientists at any level to join a pen pal program that pairs Grade 5-6 students with 'their own' scientist for an exchange of three letters throughout the school year.
Dr Kate Scull from the School of Clinical Sciences at Monash University has been involved and says. “It's wonderful to have such a personal impact on a student's understanding of science, as well as literacy and numeracy. The program is looking to recruit over 500 scientists by February.
