SCS researchers’ part of a team awarded $5 million to stop stroke in its tracks

Congratulations to SCS researchers from the Stroke and Ageing Group who have been successful in securing a five million dollar NHMRC Synergy Grant in collaboration with researchers at UTas, UWA and UniSA. Professors Amanda Thrift and Dominique Cadilhac, and Drs Monique Kilkenny and Joosup Kim received the grant for their project 'Synergies to Prevent Stroke – STOPstroke'.

Victorian Medical Research Acceleration Fund 2020 (Round 4) - CALL FOR EOI APPLICATIONS

Round 4 of the Victorian Medical Research Acceleration Fund will provide two tiers of funding, $500,000 and $100,000, matched dollar for dollar, for the translation of early stage health and medical research into health and economic outcomes.

New Indigenous Visiting Research Fellowships

In 2020, the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute is launching new Indigenous Visiting Research Fellowships, providing funding support for up to two Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander researchers to advance their research and scientific training at the Institute’s campus in Melbourne.
