SCS/MHTP PhD Student Showcase Symposium

You are invited to attend the 2019 Showcase Symposium to be held on Thursday, 29 August 2019 in Seminar Rooms 1 and 2, MHTP Translational Research Facility (TRF). Poster Presentations will be held from 11.00am - 12.45pm and Oral Presentations from 1.00pm - 4.30pm (includes presentation of certificates)

Are you interested in learning more about anti-inflammatory eating?

The Monash University Be Active Sleep Eat (BASE) Facility are conducting a study that will investigate the effects of following an anti-inflammatory diet for four weeks on inflammatory and other chronic disease risk markers.

Postgraduate Publications Award (PPA) Round 3/2019

Applications for PPA Round 3/2019 are now open and will close on Monday 1 July 2019. The students who will be submitting their thesis between 1 July - 30 September are eligible for this round. Recipients of PPA will receive a stipend for a maximum of 8 weeks whilst under examination.

Diabetes is a growing concern in Australia - currently affecting two million people. Recent data shows that 280 Australians develop diabetes every day, that’s one person every five minutes!

NHMRC: 2020 Application Dates for major schemes

Following feedback from the sector, the NHMRC has set the open, minimum data and close dates for Investigator Grants, Synergy Grants, Clinical Trial & Cohort Study (CTCS) Grants, and Ideas Grants. The good news? There will be no grants to write over the Christmas period!

The Faculty of Medicine Nursing and Health Sciences (FMNHS) will be holding our biennial Early Career Researcher (ECR) Symposium on Monday 28 October 2019 at the Pavilion, Monash University Caulfield campus.  

Update to NHMRC Direct Research Cost Guidelines

SCS Staff Meeting

The next SCS staff meeting will be held on Friday 19 July in Seminar Room 1, Translational Research Facility (Level 2).  Lunch will be served at 12 noon with the meeting commencing at 12.20pm

Biosafety Module 2 available online


Biosafety Module 2 is now available online through myDevelopment. The Module is designed as a curriculum with two components – the course content and a short test. The content will need to be reviewed before the test can be attempted.
