The Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences (FMNHS) will provide competitive funding for researchers who have applied for fellowship support in 2020 but have been unsuccessful in obtaining salary support.
These FMNHS Senior Postdoctoral Fellowships (SPF) are targeted at outstanding candidates who have the clear potential to be successful in external career fellowship schemes. These candidates will usually have four to six years of postdoctoral experience.
Under the SPF 2021 scheme, it is expected that the applicant will have been invited to interview for the 2020 external fellowship application (if this is a part of the selection process for the external award) and will have received positive assessor reports.
