The biennial Monash University
Occupational Health and Safety Conference is being held this year on Wednesday,
24 October 2018. The Conference is open to all staff and students, and there is no charge for attendance. All attendees will have an opportunity to win a selection of prizes.
The Conference will showcase a variety
of innovative speakers and explore a range of interesting topics relating to aspects
of health, safety and wellbeing,
including
· A keynote address by
Jessica Watson, the youngest person to sail solo around the world in 2009, who
will give an overview of the risks and safety strategies during her journey;
· a live mock OHS court
experience simulating a prosecution for a breach of the safety legislation; and
· other exciting health
and safety presentations.

Please be aware that the annual Vice
Chancellor’s Award for Exceptional Contribution to OHS will be presented at the
2018 Monash Occupational Health and Safety Conference.
This prestigious Award recognises the
contributions of staff who have implemented original and exciting ideas in
Occupational Health and Safety at Monash University.
Applications are open to Monash
University staff, either individuals or teams, and close on Friday, 5 October
2018.
A prize of $3,000 will be awarded to
the winning individual, or $5,000 to the winning team nomination.
