Monash neonatologist recognised internationally

Professor Arvind Sehgal
Congratulations to Monash University's Professor Arvind Sehgal on his appointment to the Society for Pediatric Research, American Academy of Pediatrics Student Research and House Officer Awards Selection Committee.

The Society for Pediatric Research annually honours students, house officers and fellows engaged in paediatric research. Professor Sehgal's appointment will run through until 2021.

Professor Sehgal, staff neonatologist and Head, Neonatal Cardiovascular Research at Monash Children’s Hospital, said his appointment also recognises the Monash Health Translation Precinct (MHTP) which has contributed significantly to neonatal and paediatric research.

"Professor Sehgal's appointment is well-deserved and recognition of the significant and important contribution he's made to neonatal and paediatric research in Australia and globally," said Professor Nick Freezer, Medical Director Monash Children's Hospital and Head, Department of Paediatrics, Monash University.
