Monash and Museum
Victoria (MV) are excited to be strengthening their partnership through the
launch of new PhD and Honours scholarships, as well as continuing to offer
co-supervision opportunities.
The scholarships include two new PhD top-up scholarships each valued at $5,000
per year over three years (with a possible six-month extension), and two new
one-off Honours scholarships each valued at $1,000.
There are a number of selection and eligibility criteria including the
requirement to be a full-time PhD or Hons student and working on projects which
are either co-supervised by Monash and MV, or are substantially focused on some
aspects of the MV collection.
Find the full details of the scholarship guidelines and find
the application form at the MIGR website (guidelines include relevant Monash
and MV contacts).
The closing date for applications is 6 March, 2015.
As they apply, students should consider the terms and conditions of any
existing scholarship arrangements they may have.
MV manages large and significant collections related to a wide range
of humanities and science disciplines making it a rich storehouse of
opportunity for researchers.
Co-supervision arrangements can greatly enhance the experience of both students
and supervisors by improving access to collections and enhancing professional
networks.

experience of a current student with co-supervision arrangements, and please
