This grant provides funding to accelerate development of promising vaccine candidates. The candidate must have progressed beyond early or "developmental" stage research to pre-clinical or clinical investigation. Appropriate proof of concept must already exist.
The total funding available is $13.65 million. Individual grants can request up to $3 million. Projects must be completed by 30 June 2023.
Applications proceed in two stages: an expression-of-interest (EOI) then full proposal if the EOI succeeds. Note that although three application rounds are planned, rounds 2 and 3 may not progress if the total budget is exhausted in round 1. You may only be a named Chief Investigator on one EOI application (across all 3 rounds).
