Evelyn Volders: Acting Head, Department of Nutrition, Dietetics and Food

Course convenor for the Master of Dietetics and Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics, Evelyn Volders
has been appointed Acting Head of Department.


Evelyn worked for many years as a clinical specialist dietitian at the Royal Children’s Hospital, with particular areas of practice including cystic fibrosis, gastroenterology and enteral nutrition.

“I’ve had a long affiliation with dietetics at Monash University as a clinical teacher at the RCH since the Monash University course commenced in 2000,” Evelyn said.


“I moved to Monash University in 2011 and have shared my passion for paediatric nutrition—and in particular infant nutrition—with many students over the years.”

Evelyn has been part of the Senior Management team within the Department of Nutrition, Dietetics and Food from 2011.

“I look forward to continuing the excellent work Professor Helen Truby has done in leading and progressing the Department whilst we await the arrival of the new Head of Department, Professor Gary Williamson from the UK,” she said.

Professor Williamson will commence his position in November.
