Monash Health and Climate Centre Introductory Workshop

The Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences is working to establish a multidisciplinary and collaborative Faculty-based Centre for Health and Climate, which will focus on the effects of climate on human health and healthcare systems. The Centre is proposed to:

  • generate evidence of the impact of climate on human health;
  • create scalable and readily-implementable preventive solutions and mitigations that strengthen the resilience of individuals, communities and health systems;
  •  inform evidence-based, cost-effective change to policies and practice; and
  • undertake education and training.

Critically, the Centre will work on solutions that close health equity gaps for vulnerable populations.

It is intended that the Centre will include members from other Faculties, Centres and Institutes of Monash University, and will collaborate with many groups to achieve maximum impact.

Please join us at the Monash Health and Climate Centre Introductory Workshop. This is a hybrid event, so you can join either in person or via Zoom. The workshop will provide an overview of the vision, mission and scope of the proposed Centre for Health and Climate. The Workshop will also showcase examples of Health and Climate capability from within the Faculty of Medicine Nursing and Health Sciences and across the University.
