The Office of National Intelligence and the Department of Defence announced a new National Intelligence and Security Discovery Research Grants (NISDRG) Program.

The Guidelines for the NISDRG funded by the Office of National Intelligence and the Department of Defence are now available on GrantConnect:
- Forecast Opportunity for NISDRG Intelligence Challenges
- Forecast Opportunity for NISDRG National Security Challenges
Further information will be published on GrantConnect and the ARC website once the scheme is open for applications.
The funding level is between $400k to $600k total per project and up to 3 years in duration. All investigators, including Partner Investigators, must be Australian citizens or Australian residents.
