"Achievement Relative to Opportunity" is an important recognition of the range of professional and personal circumstances that can impact academic work and as such, the policy seeks to facilitate an equitable assessment of one's academic career in light of these circumstances or career disruptions. The session will discuss a wide range of career impacting circumstances and cover how to best communicate your academic achievements relative to opportunity. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions - or submit them beforehand via the online registration form. The webinar is open to all staff irrespective of the stage of their academic career journey and it is equally applicable to promotion candidates, staff seeking confirmation of probation or grant applicants.
