Dr Rachel Hill receives Curt Richter Award

International Society of Psychoneuroendocrinology has recognised Dr Rachel Hill 's manuscript with the Curt Richter Award. 

Head of Behavioural Neuroscience group, Dr Hills's publication, "Bazedoxifene - a promising brain active SERM that crosses the blood brain barrier and improves spatial memory"  has been awarded $1000 USD for the top publication published in Psychoneuroendocrinology.

The manuscript that received this award shows that a compound called bazedoxifene crosses the blood brain barrier and improves spatial memory. The clinical application is that this compound, which is already approved for use in osteoporosis could be used as a safe and effective treatment for disorders of cognitive impairment. 

Speaking of the award, Dr Hill said, "This award highlights the important contribution that this manuscript provides to the field of psychoneuroendcrinology. It is a great honor to receive this international acknowledgement of our research".
