Now is a great time to ensure you are up-to-date with your OHS training, as several modules have been placed online. Please read through the information, and plan to complete modules that you need to do/refresh.See the SCS intranet for more information about OHS training requirements, and how to check your training records. Follow the links below to the training modules in myDevelopment and click 'Request' to begin.
Reminder: Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that their staff and students complete all required OHS training modules.
Mandatory compliance training - for new staff to complete within four weeks of commencement; renewed every 2 or 3 years (modules vary).
Student Project Safety - for Honours, Grad Dip, MA and PhD students; to be completed once only during their course.
Biosafety level 1 (Microbiologicals) - for staff and students working with biological material and/or animals; renewed every 3 years.
Biosafety level 2 (OGTR/DAWR) - for staff and students working in PC1 or PC2 laboratories, or importing biological material; comprises online information and a quiz; renewed every 3 years.
Cryogenics online training - for staff and students handling liquid nitrogen; renewed every 3 years. This training has now been updated (as videos weren't working previously) and has been separated from Gas Cylinder training (still under revision). Please complete this if you have not been able to do so previously.
