FT20 Grant Guideilnes, ITAs and Final Dates now available

The ARC has now released the FT20 Grant Guidelines, Instructions to Applicants and updated dates.  Applications are now open in RMS. Please note, the dates have not changed from the previous announcement:

Grant Guidelines released: 8 October 2019
Instructions to Applicants released: 9 October 2019
Applications open in RMS: 9 October 2019
MRO Internal Deadline: 30 October 2019
Applications Close: 27 November 2019

There is one key change in the new scheme: Future Fellowships can now apply for up to $60,000/year, in addition to receiving the FT salary. This is $10,000 more per year than in previous years.

It is also important to note that the assessment criteria has changed.  Please refer to pages 41-42 of the Grant Guidelines for more information:

Investigator/Capability: 50%
Project quality and innovation: 25%
Benefit: 15%
Feasibility and strategic alignment: 10%

Please note, the application itself has slightly changed.  While the primary written sections remain the same, the organisation of the application has changed.

Additionally, your research outputs must now be uploaded directly to your RMS profile via a bibtex file downloaded from Pure or ORCID.  The application will automatically generate your list of publications in your ROPES from your RMS profile.  This process may take some time to ensure that all of your outputs are accurately uploaded so please be sure to get started on this process as early as possible.  The MRO has created this guide to help you.  If you require any assistance in entering your publications into Pure, please email the Research Outputs Collection Service at adm-rocs-medicine@monash.edu and include 'Urgent: For ARC Future Fellowship application' in the subject line.

We have updated the FMNHS ARC Future Fellowship website with these changes, and will continue to update it as we receive more information about this round.

For those of you who are currently awaiting FT19 outcomes - unfortunately we don't have any indication of when the outcomes will be announced.

If you haven't yet submitted your Strategic Statement to us, please do so as soon as possible to medicine.research@monash.edu.
