This advanced course in scientific writing aims to teach students key practical writing skills they can apply in writing doctoral theses, articles and grants.
The course consists of ten one-hour-long sessions over ten weeks. Each session teaches a single writing concept, which is reinforced by discussion, post-session quizzes and written assessment.
Together, the sessions are designed to comprehensively improve writing accuracy, clarity and impact.
The course is aimed at students who are fluent in English and wish to enhance their scientific writing
skills. Students in the Monash Doctoral Program who complete this course will receive 20 Graduate
Education accredited hours towards their professional development.
Session times: Clayton - Tuesdays, 10-11am (first session on 7 August); Peninsula - Tuesdays, 10-11am (first session on 7 August); Caulfield - Thursdays, 10-11am (first session on 9 August).
