Dr Lisa Walter has been awarded funding to organize an Australian and New Zealand Children’s Haematology/Oncology Group (ANZCHOG) Concept Development Workshop for her study on sleep in children with cancer. Her project "Bright light therapy to improve sleep, reduce fatigue and improve the quality of life in children with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia during maintenance treatment" will be the focus of a workshop which will provide an opportunity for interstate collaborators to meet, discuss and develop the concept, commence project planning/protocol development and establish roles and responsibilities.
Lisa was also successful in obtaining a travel grant to attend the ANZCHOG conference next June in Cairns to present the preliminary findings of her study.
