Coursework units for Translational Research Doctoral program


All Monash graduate research students, irrespective of program option, must complete the following activities prior to the Confirmation milestone:
  • Monash Induction (online);
  • Faculty Induction;
  • Research Integrity (online).

Students register for theses activities via GRAMS (accessible via my.monash or the GRAMS webpage).  Enrolment form is here.

In addition, all newly enrolled GR students must complete the following 6-credit-point coursework unit prior to confirmation of their PhD candidature (Note: students who commenced in 2014 -  we are extending the opportunity to you to undertake this coursework):

Core coursework unit – Translational Research
·         Unit code: TRM6002  (Offered twice annually, including MMC in Semester 2 if enrolled by 24 July 2015)

Plus  in consultation with their supervisor, select ONE of the following elective units:

Elective coursework unit 1 – Introduction to Clinical Trials
·         Unit code: TRM6001

Elective coursework unit 2 – Introductory Biostatistics
·         Unit code: MPH6041

Elective coursework unit 3 – Bioethics Theory and Practice
·         Unit code: APR6001

Please go to this link and look at the schedules/timetable for the mandatory and elective units to choose the ones that suit you schedules.

Students are asked to be aware of census dates for unit enrolments/changes (http://www.monash.edu.au/enrolments/dates/census.html) . 

Please complete the attached course enrolment form to enrol in coursework units and submit by March 30th.  The completed enrolment form signed by both student and supervisor will need to be sent to laisa.tigarea@monash.edu for further processing.
