The Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences (FMNHS) will provide competitive funding for researchers who have applied for an external fellowship but have been unsuccessful in obtaining salary support for 2020.
These Senior Postdoctoral Fellowships (SPF) are targeted at outstanding candidates who have the clear potential to be successful in external career fellowship schemes. These candidates will usually have four to six years of postdoctoral experience.
For the 2020 round, it would be expected that the applicant will have been invited to interview for the external fellowship (if this is a part of the selection process for the scheme) and will have received positive assessor reports.
