SCS welcomes Adrienne Calder

We are pleased to welcome Adrienne Calder to SCS, as she fills the role of Research Manager during Vanalysa's Maternity Leave. Adrienne joins us from the Monash Research Office where she was a Grants Officer in the Medical and Health Sciences team. In addition to her research management experience, Adrienne has a teaching background across the Faculties of MNHS and Science. Adrienne was also a Technical Officer in ARMI and undertook PhD research in the Department of Anatomy and Developmental Biology. So not only does she know her way around a lab, but she also knows Monash University and our processes. Welcome Adrienne!

Baby announcement

We are pleased to announce that our SCS Research Manager, Dr Vanalysa Ly, gave birth to her first child on 28th January at Waverley Private Hospital. The as-yet-unnamed baby girl weighed 3.05 kg and measured up at 51 cm. Both mum and baby are faring well.

(Editor's note: Vanalysa if you are stuck for names, you may consider the names Erica or Eugenie!)
