Smoke-Free Monash

Monash has now been a smoke-free environment for three years and we are committed to ensuring the success of this initiative into the future.

Accordingly, we wish to remind all staff and students that Monash supports a healthy smoke-free environment with smoking not permitted on any Victorian campus, including buildings and grounds.

By going smoke-free, Monash is supporting the health of its students, staff, contractors and visitors.

We understand that being a smoke-free campus can present difficulties for some of our smokers, so to support those who wish to quit, there are a range of programs and services available through the University Health Service, and Counselling.  Resources are also available on the Quit website on services best for your quit journey. If you would like direct support you can contact the Quitline on 13 78 48.

Smokers are kindly reminded:

  • that the campus has a smoke-free policy
  • to move off campus if they wish to smoke

Thank you once again for your assistance in this important health initiative.
