This PhD program is a three-year program in the Epidemiology and Clinical Trials group at the Ritchie Centre, Hudson Institute of Medical Research.
The PhD program of work is a NHMRC funded double blind, randomized, placebo controlled trial aimed at reducing the rate of caesarean section associated with labour induction, by the administration of melatonin. The appointee will be involved in the recruitment of participants to the trial, the subsequent collection of their tissue samples and relevant data as well as other administrative and clinical tasks related to the conduct of the trial. Full training and support will be provided to the student..
The program is led by Dr Miranda Davies-Tuck and Professor
Euan Wallace at the Hudson Institute and Monash University.
The successful student will need to be eligible to
enrol for a PhD with the the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Monash University.
