Thermal imaging cameras have been installed at selected entry points to minimise the delay in proceeding through the screening point. Any person with a temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius or above will not be permitted to enter the building. Staff with a temperature of 37.5 degrees or above will be advised to contact the staff hotline – 959 45815.
How will the screening process impact me?
Staff entry to MCH and the main building of MMC is now restricted to four (4) entry points.
- All other external doors will be disabled from 6pm tonight (Friday April 17, 2020)
- All external exit doors remain available as emergency exit points
When entering the Monash Children’s Hospital (MCH) through the ‘Northern Entry’ you are now required to turn immediately left to be screened in the corridor leading to the back of house lifts.
The thermal imaging camera has been relocated into this corridor to minimise the delay and decrease the congestion at this building entry point during screening
You are reminded to use pedestrian walkways when walking to the screening entry points. Walking on the service road or car park areas away from marked pedestrian crossings puts yourself and others, including drivers, at risk of a vehicle collision.
After passing the screening point you may take the back-of-house lifts to your workplace on levels 3,4 or 5; or continue around past Gigil and MCH reception to access your level 2 workplace.
Staff working across buildings onsite (eg: between main building and McCulloch House) will be issued with a dated Screening Sticker to be worn during the day to identify that they have been screened. Staff working across buildings should advise the screening operator at the time of initial screening for the day.

- Monash Medical Centre Northern Entrance (Staff Only)
- Monash Children’s Hospital Front/Main Entrance (Staff, Visitors, Patients)
- Monash Children’s Hospital Northern Entrance (between 6:30am and 9:30pm) (Staff only)
- A screening point at Monash Medical Centre Loading Dock 2 is provided for screening of all contractors
