Amidst growing concern over the impact of COVID-19 upon business-as-usual, we have received some queries regarding whether funders will be extending current research grants for those adversely affected.
At this stage communication from funders has been limited, though the NHMRC and Cancer Council Victoria have indicated that they will accept variation requests from existing award holders with research adversely affected by the current pandemic. All requests will be dealt with on a case by case basis, but we expect most funders to enable some flexibility.
