Professor Diana Egerton-Warburton

Congratulations to Professor Diana Egerton-Warburton who received a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to emergency medicine in the recent Australia Day Honours.

Professor Egerton-Warbutron is the Director of Emergency Medicine Research at Monash Medical Centre and the Co-Chair of Monash University’s Emergency Research Collaborative (MERC). She has nearly three decades of experience in Australian emergency departments.

Throughout her career, Professor Egerton-Warburton has trained and mentored countless emergency physicians and is a passionate advocate for the development of women in leadership roles.

Professor Egerton-Warburton said she was honoured to receive her OAM, but also sees the recognition as a team achievement, “While this is an individual award, emergency medicine is at its very core about teamwork and this award is a national acknowledgment of the amazing people I work with.”
