Implementation science has been crucial in establishing realistic understanding of contexts, and facilitating behaviour change. However, there are diverse theories and implementation strategies that can make this terrain difficult to navigate.
· This masterclass is aimed at health professionals, researchers, policy makers and front-line clinicians who seek guidance and inspiration on healthcare improvement.
· We will review common conceptual frameworks and explore core implementation components. Much has been written about the quality chasm in healthcare – the gap between our knowledge and our practice.
· We will demonstrate how implementation science can be combined with healthcare improvement to improve outcomes for service users and the community.
· Facilitated by experts in the field, this workshop will guide participants seeking to initiate their own implementation projects and support those currently involved in healthcare improvement projects.
