Safety alert

This important message is to highlight the need for constant vigilance and increased situational awareness to personal safety for all employees transitioning to and from Monash Health sites.

Two members of the community were recently assaulted near an entrance to Monash Medical Centre. If you witness, or are subject to, any criminal behaviour dial 000 and request police assistance immediately.

You should also report such behaviour to Monash University Security on 990 27777, Monash Health Security on 959 42139, or email Safety Officer clare.westhorp@monash.edu.

Things to consider
• Be alert for suspicious people or vehicles at all times
• Avoid using electronic devices whilst walking
• Never disclose personal information to strangers
• Always walk confidently and with purpose
• Walk in groups where possible
• Carry your car keys in your hand for quick access to your vehicle
