NHMRC have opened their Development Grant 2020 funding round for funding commencing 2021. This scheme is also being used as a pilot for NHMRC's new grant management system - Sapphire. As such, there are specific new processes to follow if you intend to apply for a Development Grant in this round.
Accessing Sapphire
Applicants for the NHMRC Development Grant round must register to gain access to Sapphire –register here. Further information about Sapphire is available on NHMRC’s website.
Once you have been registered for Sapphire and have logged in, if you have any questions or concerns about your migrated profile data, please contact the Sapphire Help Desk.
Grant Guidelines
Grant Guidelines are now available on Grant Connect GO3101. You will need to register/login to Grant Connect to access the documents.
Key Dates
Applications open in RGMS: 23 October 2019
Minimum data close: 20 November 2019 (by 17:00 AEDT via Sapphire)
MRO Compliance Check close: 27 November 2019 (via Pure)
CI Certification of Finalised application: 6 December 2019 (by midday AEDT)
NHMRC external deadline: 11 December 2019 (by 17:00 AEDT via RGMS, submitted by MRO)
Not intending to apply for an NHMRC Development Grant?
Please note, this pilot of Sapphire is for NHMRC Development Grant applicants only - please do not register for Sapphire access if you are not intending to apply for an NHMRC Development Grant.
Until advised, all other NHMRC grant opportunities will continue in RGMS.
