Monash Medical Student Simulation Survey

Monash Children's Hospital are currently conducting a research project to assess what current student experiences and attitudes to simulation based education at university are. They are using this survey to evaluate the current use of simulation based education and to gain an understanding of the current advantages and limitations of simulation based education while at medical school.


This will be done using a survey of medical students. Participation in the survey is completely voluntary. Your contribution to their research is greatly valued and will be used to help them shape the future use of simulation based education in medical school. By completing the survey it will be taken as implied consent for participation in the study - we estimate this survey will take 10 minutes to complete. No identifying details will be collected and all responses are anonymous.

The research team conducting the survey consist of Mr Ram Nataraja, Dr Mithila Sivasubramaniam, Ms Bridget Roddis, Mr Nicholas Ensor and Mr Kirby Qin who are based at The Surgical Simulation Centre at Monash Children’s Hospital.

Data collected from the survey will be stored and retained at Monash Children’s Hospital on a secure hospital computer. Data will be stored for 5 years.
