Briefing session for Astellas and Takeda (COCKPI-T funding)

Monash Innovation would like to invite you to a briefing session held by Takeda and Astellas respectively on Friday 24 May to introduce their program or Areas of Interest.


Dr. Hiroya Muranishi (Director, Strategic Alliance, Research) and Ms. Kazuko Nakanishi (Associate Director, Strategic Alliance, Research) from Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. will outline areas of interest and provide an opportunity to seek further information about the Co-Create Knowledge for Pharma Innovation with Takeda "COCKPI-T" 2019 program with a particular focus on Neuroscience, Gastroenterology, Oncology, Regenerative Medicine,  Platform technology and Safety Research.

Dr. Takeshi Hondo (Senior Manager, Research Alliance, Research Planning & Administration, Drug Discovery Research) and Dr. Hiroyuki Usuda (Manager, Research Alliance, Research Planning & Administration, Drug Discovery Research) from Astellas Pharma Inc. will provide an outline of their areas of interest related to 1) Emerging Biology (Protein Homeostasis, RNA Functional Modulation, Immunoscience, Extracellular vesicles/Exosomes, Senescence and Synthetic Biology) 2)Novel Modalities (Gene Therapy and Gene Editing, Targeted Drug Delivery Systems and Biologics) and, 3)Diseases: (Oncology, Autoimmune/Allergy), Ophthalmology, Otology, Musculoskeletal diseases and New disease concept)

Takeda presentation (20 min) + Astellas presentation (20 min) + Q&A or 1 on 1 talk (20min+).

Takeda
To promote Takeda's COCKPI-T program in Australia. This is the second year that Takeda runs this program in Australia. Previously this program was exclusive to research institutes in Japan. In 2018, Takeda indicates interests in the following areas and has funded these four projects ($100K/each) in Australia.

Astellas Pharma
This will be an introductory workshop for Astellas Pharma to understand Australia and Australian research institutes. Before their visit, a list of areas of interest will be provided. Astella's corporate pipeline could be found here.
