Trainee opportunities at the 2019 World Congress on Developmental Origins of Health and Disease in Melbourne

The 11th World Congress on the Developmental Origins of Health and Disease is being held in Melbourne from October 20-23. This will be a great opportunity to present your work and network with DOHaD researchers from around the world. The abstract deadline has just been extended to March 1, so there is still plenty of time to register your interest to attend!

The trainee committee has just released its program of events online and we are excited to share these opportunities. DOHaD trainees are comprised of undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, clinical fellows pursuing research in fetal and developmental origins of health and disease. The DOHaD 2019 trainee committee are a team of early career researchers from around the world dedicated to ensuring that trainees have a great time and make the most of every opportunity during their time at the 2019 DOHaD Congress in Melbourne. We have developed a program filled with opportunities to network with colleagues, meet with experts and to hear experiences from successful researchers in the DOHaD field. We have developed the first DOHaD pre-congress trainee specific workshop on Saturday 19th October focussed on navigating your chosen career path, a writing workshop to help you nail your next application and the opportunity to share your research. If you’re keen to undertake a laboratory visit during your visit to Melbourne we have a list of laboratories focussed on DOHaD research that have expressed interest to host trainees around the time of the meeting.
