Fulbright Specialist Grants for Australian Universities - Applications Open
The Australian-American Fulbright Commission is calling for
applications to the Fulbright Specialist Program.
At least 6 grants are on offer, to bring U.S. Specialists for up to 6 weeks, to share expertise at Australian universities, and to build collaborative linkages with U.S. faculty and professionals on curriculum and faculty development, institutional planning and other activities.

- The grants cover an economy
class return international air travel to Australia for the U.S.
Specialist
- Additionally, the grants
provide Specialists with an honorarium of US$200 for each day they
stayed in Australia
- Australian host
institutions must cost-share by covering accommodation, meals and
in-country or intra-region travel
- Joint proposals by
several Australian institutions, or an Australian and a partner university
in the East Asia Pacific region are encouraged

Fulbright Alumni Initiative Grant - Applications Close 30 April 2016
The Fulbright Commission warmly encourages applications for
a Fulbright Alumni Initiative Grant (FAIG). Applications
close on Saturday 30 April 2016.
Four grants of AUD $5,000 each are on offer, two for Australian and two for American Alumni.
FAIG selection criteria:
Alumni must:
·
have
been Students, Specialists or Scholars with the Australian-American
Fulbright Program
·
currently
be residing in their country of origin
·
not
previously have received a FAIG
·
possess a
high academic and/or professional standing
·
show
an ability to build and enhance institutional links
Competitive applications will:
·
demonstrate the
pertinence of this new visit to the host country
·
clearly
and comprehensively outline the purpose of the visit
·
show
a record of communication with the host institution
·
convey the
potential host or home institutions' willingness to share costs
·
outline concrete
and feasible expected outcomes
·
highlight
the potential for long-term institutional collaborations

The Fulbright Scholar Program
offers teaching, research or combination teaching/research awards in over 125
countries for the 2016-2017 academic year. Opportunities are available for
