Act early to improve bone density for adults with cerebral palsy

Many people do not realise that people with cerebral palsy (CP) have lifelong complications from brittle bones caused by reduced bone density. A recent study has identified the key factors that influence low bone density in adults with CP. The findings can inform strategies to improve long term quality of life for people with CP.

Free public forum: Cerebral palsy – a brighter future

The Ritchie Centre is hosting a free public forum on cerebral palsy - a physical disability that affects movement and posture, caused by damage to the developing brain before, during or soon after birth.  CP affects 37,000 Australians.
