Looking after your mental health during COVID-19

We understand this time can be a difficult time for yourself, staff, students and family members too and we wanted to ensure that during this difficult and changing times we are taking time for our mental health.

We wanted to share some resources that are available for you to use but also share with your staff.

Lunchtime Meditation on Zoom
We have now increased and moved our physical lunchtime meditation sessions to zoom so staff and students can still access these sessions.

Details of the session
Day: Weekly Tuesday and Thursday
Time: 1:15-1:45
Location: Zoom, add this to your calendar here

Mindfulness for Wellbeing and Peak Performance (extended edition)
In light of recent events the practice of mindfulness and meditation is more important than ever.

To ensure that we look after our mental health Monash staff can now have FREE access to the FutureLearn Mindfulness for Wellbeing and Peak Performance course for the whole year by upgrading your registration. This is valued at over $100 and gives you a digital certificate of achievement and most of all the meditation files!

To access the course, use your Monash email account to email most.project@monash.edu, and include “Enrol me in the online Mindfulness course” in the subject line. You’ll then receive an invitation from FutureLearn to set up your profile and join the course.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Monash staff can receive free counselling (up to six sessions). This service is provided by an external provider through the Monash Employee Assistance Program (EAP). It's also available to immediate family members. The cost is free for up to six sessions.

Please also check/follow Monash Wellbeing on Workplace regularly as we will be sharing more tips and information through this platform too. If you have any questions please email wellbeing@monash.edu
