Call for participants: 'Work and Wellness' focus group sessions

The Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation in the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine are conducting a “Work and Wellness” research project that aims to improve health outcomes for women at Monash University and their children.

Poor maternal health status and behaviours have been demonstrated to have a negative outcome on maternal and offspring health. Therefore, the preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum periods have been identified as an optimal time for intervention.

The group are inviting female Monash University employees to take part in a 2-hour focus group that aims to explore their perceptions of a healthy lifestyle for working women across the preconception, pregnancy and postpartum life phases. Focus groups will be conducted at Monash Campuses.

This project is a collaborative effort between Monash University and the University of Tasmania. Focus groups will be conducted in late August and through September.

If you have any questions about the project, please do not hesitate to contact Briony Hill at briony.hill@monash.edu or on 0421 012 283. Staff interested in taking part can email Seonad Madden at seonad.madden@monash.edu or view the Explanatory Statement here.
