Please vote to help Vanesa help preterm babies breathe at birth

Dr Vanesa Stojanovska, a contender for the Centenary Institute Medical Innovation People's Choice Award needs your help. With less than a week left to vote, Vanesa is currently in second place!

Centenary Institute is dedicated to supporting the medical research sector as a whole. The Centenary Institute Medical Innovation Awards promote innovation and creativity, and are committed to encouraging a domestic culture of scientific excellence.

As a NHMRC Peter Doherty Early Career Fellow within the Perinatal Transition research group at The Ritchie Centre, and Adjunct Research Fellow within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Vanesa's research focuses on breathing difficulties experienced by preterm babies, why this occurs, and how the brainstem plays a critical role in contributing to such difficulties.

The People's Choice Award is voted by the general public and research community, with the successful applicant receiving $2,000.
