Registrations now open for the Victorian Cancer Bioinformatics Symposium

Registrations and abstracts are now open for the 2019 Victorian Cancer Bioinformatics Symposium! This is a new event designed to bring together those with an interest in the application of bioinformatics in cancer research and clinical practice.

When: Friday, 16 August 2019 

Where: The Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre, 305 Grattan Street, Melbourne

Time: 9.00am - 5.00pm

We have a stellar line-up of invited speakers from the United States, New Zealand and Australia:

• Shannon McWeeney (Oregon Health Sciences University, Portland, U.S.)

“A Path Forward: Moving from Data to Knowledge to Actionability to Support Precision Oncology”

• Cristin Print (University of Auckland)

“Cancer Bioinformatics  - How Hard Can It Be?”

• Vanessa Hayes (Garvan Institute, Sydney)

“Missed messages in prostate tumour genomes”

• Mark Cowley (Children's Cancer Institute of Australia, Sydney)

“Precision cancer bioinformatics for adults and children with advanced cancers”

Put in an abstract now for your chance to present. Our program will include opportunities for talks from all career stages and professional roles. 

The symposium will also include a poster session and an evening networking event.
