The Fulbright Specialist Program facilitates short-term visits of experienced U.S. academics and professionals to a host institution with the goal of strengthening ties between U.S. and foreign host institutions.
Program Parameters:
All exchanges must range from 14 to 42 days in length, including weekends, holidays and travel days.
Multi-Visits are allowed if strong justification is provided for the need of this approach. However, all visits must be completed within one year period by the same Fulbright Specialist. Please note each visit must be a minimum of 14 days and the total number of days across all visits cannot exceed 42 days (6 weeks).
Host institutions are not required to identify U.S. academics at the time of submission. On the approval of projects, World Learning (Program’s implementing partner) will identify relevant candidates on the Fulbright Specialist Roster.
Each project is limited to only one Fulbright Specialist grantee.
Each Faculty can apply to only submit ONE application, and as such there will be an internal EOI process to determine which application can proceed to submission.
Further information about this scheme and a list of all eligible disciplines can be found here.
Intending applicants are required to complete the EOI Application Form using the attached template and submit to the Faculty Research Office (medicine.research@monash.edu) by 5:00PM (AEST) on Thursday 15 August 2019.
Following a Faculty review and ranking process, the shortlisted applicant will be advised to proceed with their full online application submission and entry of their application into Pure on or soon after 29 August 2019. Final applications are due to Fulbright Australia by 30 September 2019.
A list of previously awarded institutions is available here.
