Please note the 1st check deadline for MRO compliance and eligibility checks is Monday, 11th of February. If you have not yet submitted your application for a compliance check, please do so as soon as you have a complete draft in RMS (i.e. all sections of the application are 'green').

Dr Jim Harris from the Rheumatology Group has been awarded a $25,000 MS Research Australia Incubator Grant for his research on the role of macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF).

End of Support for Windows 7

Executive Summary
Microsoft will stop releasing security updates for Windows 7 at the beginning of next year. As such, we must upgrade or replace all remaining Windows 7 computers at Monash University this year. To assist the University in these efforts people who still have Windows 7 systems at Monash University are strongly encouraged to proactively replace them without waiting for contact from eSolutions.

The L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Program - Now Open

In 1998 L'Oréal and UNESCO founded the For Women in Science program to promote and highlight the critical importance of ensuring greater participation of women in science.

Applications for the 2019 Fellowships are now open and will close on Monday 4th March 11.59pm.

Monash European Perinatal Masterclass

Join us for the Monash European Perinatal Masterclass and the first ever RANZCOG FSEP Workshop to be delivered in Prato, Italy!

This intensive masterclass in perinatology includes two days of presentations from world-renowned clinicians and scientists, and an optional fetal surveillance education program (FSEP) on the third day.  Places are limited to 100 participants to ensure your chance to have one-on-one conversations with international speakers. The event has been scheduled just before Easter (16-18 April 2019) to allow participants to extend their visit and enjoy a European vacation.  Find out more

New cleaning contract at MMC - office bins emptied only once a week

The recent change to the hospital cleaning contractors impacts on all hospital buildings such as E Block, Paediatrics (Children's Hospital), Psychiatry (P Block & ELMHS), and O&G (5th Floor F Block), at least. As part of the change, office bins will only be emptied once a week.

Changes to Supervisor Connect

Faculty Graduate Research Office informs of the following changes made to Supervisor Connect:

• Expression of Interest emails will now contain the supervisors name, country of residency and nationality.
• You can now download a spreadsheet of all EOIs received via the admin page (you will need to filter by school in excel).

MHTP Technology Platform Review

MHTP Technology Platforms are an integral component of the MHTP research strategy, providing cutting edge capabilities and expertise to support research within the Precinct.
Each Platform recently underwent a review to ensure alignment with current research resulting in several rationalisation strategies and actions have now been endorsed by executive management.
