The grants form
part of Monash's Gender
Equity Strategy 2011-2015 and support the University's
commitment to improving the representation of women in senior academic roles.
The grants are targeted at female academic staff at Level B and
Level C with primary caring responsibilities and aim to support women to
enhance or maintain their research productivity at a critical time in their
careers.
Each grant is valued at $13,000. A total of $11,000 can be used
flexibly to reduce the impact of career breaks and/or caring responsibilities
on research productivity. Recipients will also participate in career
development coaching valued at $2,000 per person.
