Congratulations to Dr Fabrizzio Horta on receiveing the Ferring COVID-19 Investigational Grant in Reproductive Medicine and Maternal Health.
Speaking of his research, Dr Horta said, "An opportunity to study the incidence of natural conception in infertile couples has risen as a result of Australian Fertility Clinic’s closing down due to COVID-19 quarantine. Studies have investigated the probability of natural conception in infertile couples recording results between ~20% and ~50% prior to treatment and ~20% post IVF treatment. This grant will help us to identify the factors involved in natural conception of infertile couples".
This is a great outcome of a collective effort by the team including Dr Fabrizzio Horta, research student Elizabeth Cutting and Prof Ben W Mol.
"We look forward to identify factors involved in natural conception of patients with delayed IVF treatments due to COVID-19", said Dr Horta.
