Message from Christopher Raduly, Category Manager, Travel
As you may be aware, we launched a new travel management program with Corporate Travel Management (CTM) at the end of last year. Over the last 12-months, we’ve been working with the CTM team to optimise and refine their system and tools to provide an optimal user experience. We have been receiving your feedback and recognise that there are further improvements to be made to the travel program.
I’m happy to update you on what we’ve been working on:
If you have any further questions or would like to provide additional feedback, please contact the Monash Travel Office at e: traveloffice@monash.edu p: 99024387

I’m happy to update you on what we’ve been working on:
- Updated our Domestic and International Travel Procedures to compliment the Credit Card and Reimbursement Policy and Procedure. The procedures will include exceptions to booking travel outside of the CTM system (for example, where there is accommodation offered as part of a conference package)
- Exploring interactive training sessions to guide users on using the system efficiently and effectively. We’re currently consulting with users on the best medium to move forward with, and will keep you updated with where we land in 2020.
- Implementation of Airbnb for Business portal—where you will have an additional choice to book short and long-stay accommodation and have the ability to centrally charge the cost to your Cost Centre and Fund.
- Developed a form to track and document price disparities between CTM and external travel agencies. You can access this form here.
- We’ve streamlined the travel diary process with this web-based form to capture, create and store travel diaries. An automatic travel diary completion reminder will also be sent by CTM, on behalf of Monash University, on your return from travel. This documentation is required under Australian tax legislation for any travel six nights or longer in a row. For more details on this requirement, please visit the travel diary tax page.
