- MRFF Frontier - Stage 1 funding applications (Cohort 2). Due to open 30 Jan and Close 26 March 2020. Documents available at: https://business.gov.au/Grants-and-Programs/Frontier-Health-and-Medical-Research
- MRFF Brain Cancer Mission. Due to launch 18 December 2019, not sure if it will actually open then or just guidelines will be published (more information to follow including closing date). $5M grant round to improve quality of life and the survivorship experience for brain cancer survivors. The Government is investing $5 million for research into ways to improve quality of life for individuals with brain cancer through identification of better approaches to address the medical, functional and psychosocial impacts of brain cancer.
- The Applied Artificial Intelligence Research in Health Grants. Due to launch 18 December 2019, not sure if it will actually open then or just guidelines will be published (more information to follow including closing date). $7.5M Grant round under the National Critical Research Infrastructure Initiative AI for better health, aged care and disability services was recently identified as one of the top three areas where Australia is well positioned to transform existing industries and build new ones, including opportunities to export solutions worldwide. Importantly consumers will be involved in the research journey to ensure the research is applicable to the needs of the Australian community. This investment also has the potential to maximise Australia’s capacity to attract and retain high quality AI researchers and stay at the forefront of AI internationally
