In 2018, the ARC introduced a new method of adding your research outputs into RMS. Now, for all grant schemes, you are no longer able to upload a PDF of your publications but instead your research outputs should already be loaded into your profile on RMS and then selected in your proposal.
This process is still being developed by the ARC and the following instructions are subject to change. The MRO will update these instructions as soon as it receives any new information from the ARC. The ARC also offers a User Guide and FAQ regarding this research outputs functionality.
There are four ways to add your research outputs into RMS:
ORCID_ID: You can auto-populate your research outputs in RMS via an ORCID integration, providing that the information in your ORCID is up to date and accurate.
Manual Entry: Researchers also have the option of manually adding their research outputs into RMS.
DOI: Researchers can add outputs using DOIs.
Bibtex file: Researchers can import a BibTeX file to RMS. This method can include extracting the BibTeX file from Pure, a respository program such as EndNote or an online resource such as Google Scholar.
Each of these methods come with different advantages and disadvantages. What works best for you will likely depend on which systems have an up-to-date collection of your research outputs, and how many research outputs you have.
