SCS students recognised at Faculty Awards Ceremony

Congratulations to our students from the School of Clinical Sciences who have been recognised for their outstanding achievements at the faculty's Student Awards Ceremony held last week.


The ceremony is an annual event hosted by Professor Wayne Hodgson, Deputy Dean (Education), which recognises the academic and leadership achievements of students across all health disciplines. Professor Euan Wallace, Associate Professor Megan Wallace and Dr Shavi Fernando from the School of Clinical Sciences were all on hand to present the prizes and celebrate the success of our students.

Congratulations go to;

Kathleen Shu Wen Chow - recipient of the Carl Wood Prize which named in honour of Professor Carl Wood, Foundation Professor and Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Kathleen received the prize for attaining the highest mark for knowledge in Women's Health on the MED4200 written exam.

Arrabella King - recipient of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Women's Health Award, which is awarded to the student who attains the highest mark for clinical skills for in semester assessment and for the Women's Health OSCE examination.

Chelsea Matley - recipient of the Queen Victoria Medical Centre Prize. Chelsea received the prize for attaining the highest aggregate mark in the Women's Health components of MED4200 & MED4190, and for undertaking placements at the School of Clinical Sciences at Monash Health.

Tracy Sun - receipient of the Ritchie Centre Prize for BME3082 which is awarded to the highest achieving student in BME3082: Fetal and Neonatal Development.
