Location: Rear of the MIMR building (see map on the right) where the liquid nitrogen storage cage is currently located.
Access
- Access to the road under the bridge between the MHRP and MIMR buildings will be significantly restricted once works commence.
- The Kanooka Grove entry to the MMC site will be closed to vehicles during the construction period.
- A small delivery drop-off bay will be created at the Kanooka Grove entry and vehicles will be required to reverse (or turn around, if able to do so) to exit back onto Kanooka Grove.
- Pedestrian access to the site will be maintained along the existing pedestrian crossing, however, there will be no entry/exit via the rear door of the MIMR building.
- Delivery vehicles will be able to access the TRF Loading Dock from the hospital service road (ring road).
- Access to the liquid nitrogen cage will only be from inside the MIMR building rear exit, and there will be no exit out towards the MHRP building.
- The Hudson Store will only be accessed via the internal entry (reception end).
What you need to do
- Be aware of delivery trucks and construction works when walking past the works zone and along Kanooka Drive.
- Obey all safety and directional signage that will be erected around the works zone.
- Enter the MIMR building from the front entrance (Wright Street), MHRP Level 3 link bridge or Level 2 E Block link bridge.
- Notify the Hudson Store as soon as possible if you are expecting delivery of large items of equipment.
- If you need to transport small dewars of liquid nitrogen from the liquid nitrogen cage to your laboratory, carefully plan your route or request assistance from ohse@hudson.org.au
